County Administrator

The County Administrator serves at the pleasure of the Amelia County Board of Supervisors. The County Administrator is the chief executive officer of the county, and all executive responsibilities and powers are assigned to and vested in them.

It is the responsibility of the County Administrator to implement all decisions, policies, programs, and directives of the Board. The County Administrator provides leadership, management, and direction to the employees of Amelia County entrusted to carry out the county's responsibilities and obligations to the community.

The County Administrator provides fiscal and policy recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, including a proposed annual county operating and capital improvement budget, as well as ongoing analysis and recommendations on all matters of public policy before the Board.
