BRIDGE REPLACEMENT TO CLOSE NAMOZINE ROAD AT AMELIA/DINWIDDIE COUNTY LINE
The road will be closed to through traffic; follow posted detour
AMELIA/DINWIDDIE – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Namozine Road (Route 708) to through traffic between Chesdin Lake Road (Route 623) and Exeter Mill Road (Route 611) at the Amelia/Dinwiddie County line beginning Monday, March 13 for a bridge replacement project. The 77-year-old structure is located over Namozine Creek. Construction is expected to be complete by Winter 2017/2018.
During construction, drivers should follow the posted detour routes:
· Eastbound Namozine Rd. (Rt. 708) – Take Chesdin Lake Rd./Sutherland Rd. (Rt. 623) east to Exeter Mill Rd. (Rt. 611) south back to Namozine Rd. (Rt. 708).
· Westbound Namozine Rd. (Rt. 708) – Take Exeter Mill Rd. (Rt. 611) north to Sutherland Rd./Chesdin Lake Rd. (Rt. 623) west back to Namozine Rd. (Rt. 708).
