The administrative board of Amelia County Social Services has determined that it is in the best interest of our workforce to close to the public effective Monday, March 23, 2020, until further notice, and it is in the best interest of the public to have a healthy social services workforce as we project the future needs of the community we serve. The department is already experiencing a slight uptick in requests for assistance due to the effects of the"social isolation" required for the corona virus and we expect more needs to develop. Agency personnel are available by phone 804-561-2681 during normal business hours.
