VDOT Notice Regarding Dykeland Road

Due to the anticipated weather, this project has been postponed and will begin on Monday, September 24.
BRIDGE REPAIRS TO CLOSE DYKELAND ROAD IN AMELIA

The bridge is located over Horsepen Branch

AMELIA– The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Dykeland Road (Route 632) to through traffic over Horsepen Branch in Amelia County beginning Monday, September 24 for bridge repairs. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be complete by winter 2018.

During repairs, drivers should follow the posted detour routes:

Southbound Dykeland Rd. (Rt. 632)– Take Genito Rd. (Rt. 616) east to Chula Rd. (Rt. 604) south back to Dykeland Rd.  

  • Northbound Dykeland Rd. (Rt. 632) - Take Chula Rd. (Rt. 604) north to Genito Rd. (Rt. 616) west back to Dykeland Rd.
